Privacy Policy

Mvule Play Desk ("the App", "we", "us") is a business-management tool for gaming-station operators. It lets shop owners and their staff run gaming sessions, track revenue, manage expenses and equipment, and administer their business. This policy explains what information the App collects, why, and how it is protected.

Who uses the App

Mvule Play Desk is a tool for businesses. Our direct customers are gaming-shop owners who sign up for an account, and the staff they authorise to operate their shop. The App is not directed at the general public or at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from members of the public.

Information we collect

• Account information — business name, owner name, email address, and phone number, provided when an owner registers.
• Staff access data — staff names and the numeric passcodes an owner creates so their staff can log in to a branch. Passcodes are stored in a hashed (irreversible) form.
• Business operating data you enter — gaming sessions, station and console details, hourly rates, controller hires, expenses, equipment-repair records, and branch information. This is your business data, entered by you or your staff.
• Subscription & payment records — your chosen plan and the mobile-money payment references you submit so we can verify and activate your subscription. We do not collect or store card numbers, mobile-money PINs, or bank credentials.
• Technical data — basic security and diagnostic information (such as request errors) needed to keep the service running and secure. The App does not use advertising identifiers and does not track you across other apps or websites.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your device location.
• We do not use advertising or third-party tracking, and we show no ads.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or files.
• We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. Ever.

How we use your information

• To provide the core service — running gaming sessions, calculating billing, and producing your reports.
• To create and secure your account and authenticate you and your staff.
• To manage your subscription: verify mobile-money payments, activate access, and send service notices (for example, when a trial or subscription is ending).
• To keep the service reliable and secure, and to prevent abuse.

How your data is stored and protected

Your data is stored in a secured, cloud-hosted PostgreSQL database. Access is protected by authenticated logins; passwords and staff passcodes are stored using one-way cryptographic hashing (bcrypt) and are never stored in plain text. Connections to the App are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Each business's data is isolated to that business's account.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your data. We share information only with the infrastructure providers that host and run the service on our behalf (our cloud hosting and database provider), and only to the extent needed to operate the App. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

We keep your business data for as long as your account is active so the service works and your history is available to you. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain limited records to comply with legal or accounting obligations.

Your rights & deleting your data

You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account and its data at any time. To make a request, email byron.maty@gmail.com from the email address on your account and we will action it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of the page.
